“Craft is the action and movement of process. Art can only exist through craft. An idea or concept can only bear fruit through craft. Techniques supply me with an avenue to move through. Techniques are like a passport, they allow you to enter a country or city. The archaeology and timelessness of natural materials inspire me to explore the idea of history on a surface. The element of fire is a tool that helps me transform a surface by layering and marring metals. Through colors of gemstones and colors of gold and silver, my goal is to inspire and create a feeling that draws the seeker where an experience is fulfilling. The landscape and plants of San Antonio and the Southwest are constantly communicating to me. San Antonio as my hometown, I carry an equation that is constantly redefining itself in me. The inspiration just is a factor that unfolds on its own. “
