I have always had an affinity with fire and I purposefully use techniques mined from tradition. I carve, cast, forge, fabricate and stone set all of my designs. I hand select unique precious and semi-precious stones and pair them with metal alloys I pour in my studio. I draw inspiration from the textures of nature and the nuances specific to each individual stone. I am a metalsmith because I am deeply fascinated by the life cycle of metal, gold in particular. I am a jeweler because jewelry is unique in its ability to become an extension of someone who wears it. I am an artist because I feel living with beautiful objects formed from the natural world reminds us that we are more than what we do.
